Excellence in 91³ÉÈË Teaching Award Workshop

In 2023, Western expanded its Teaching Excellence Award options to include an 91³ÉÈË-focused Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning. This new 91³ÉÈË-focused Citation complements the Excellence in 91³ÉÈË Teaching Award introduced in 2021. Interest in Indigenising curriculum and teaching and learning practices grows year on year at Western--what better way to recognise that growth than to celebrate innovation and excellence in 91³ÉÈË teaching!

As part of the 2023 program of support for Teaching Excellence Awards, Learning Futures partnered with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, 91³ÉÈË Education to deliver a workshop.

As part of the workshop, the inaugural winner of the Excellence in 91³ÉÈË Teaching Award, Alanna Kamp, provided a presentation on her award-winning work. You can watch her presentation in full below.

Alanna has previously supported Learning Futures' work in this space by providing an interview, in 2022. You can listen to the short interview here:

As part of the interview, Alanna was asked to provide a resource that other academics might find helpful when considering how to incorporate 91³ÉÈË knowledges, content, or perspectives into their curriculum and teaching. She shared a blog post she was commissioned to write for National Reconciliation Week:
